Cabinet Refinishing Painting

Cabinetry is not often thought of, but its one of the installations of our homes that get, quite honestly, the most use! Opening and shutting dozens of times a day (if you’re anything like my spouse in the kitchen, they just stay open for the duration) while cooking, doing laundry, or unloading groceries into the pantry- these sturdy wooden implements truly take a beating. Greasy residue from foods, oils from our hands, possibly smoke, and dozens of other daily use and environmental factors can make our once beautiful cabinets much worse for wear. None of these examples even take into consideration the style and trend factor. What we once considered timeless oak may no longer seem so timeless 20 years later. In fact, until recently, our OWN cabinets were the most awful shade of yellowy-orange pine wood- it was quite nice a-la-2003, not so much anymore… Thankfully, we finally “fixed our own sink” so to speak, as the old saying goes about the plumber with the leaky pipes. My family was astonished at the results of the whitewashing and new turquoise hardware. What a difference!

Wooden Cabinets

The majority of cabinets in peoples’ homes are made from traditional cuts of wood. Always a stylish and homely product, the downside to beautiful wooden cabinets is that they do eventually show the signs of daily wear and get pretty scarred up in the process of our lives. Allowing our team to assess, properly prepare your surface, and apply our tailored wooden paints, we know you’ll be pleased with the new aesthetic- all without the costly and troublesome chore of replacing the entire setup.

Vinyl Cabinets

Perhaps you’re well into the future of modernism and happen to be making use of more modern vinyl cabinets, we can instead bring you a tailored vinyl painting solution. Painting on vinyl can be quick and easy when using the right products. However, the wrong kinds of paints can seriously ruin the looks, for good. So, make sure that you are always making the right choice for yours and trust us with the task when you want to refinish your vinyl cabinets.

Staining

If painting your wooden cabinets isn’t quite going to achieve the kind of effect that you are looking for, perhaps one of our wood staining options will, instead. A great way to maintain the natural look of a clean wooden surface, while still adding more vibrancy to the material and protection to the material. Our team can bring you a range of great, rich-looking wood stains and sealants that we’re sure will achieve the style that you are after.

New Hardware

To fully complete any good cabinet refinishing job, you may wish to change the handles or hardware as well. Perhaps the old brass knobs just don’t quite fit the new look or, maybe you want something a little bit more user friendly as ‘ole Arthur-itis sets in… Whatever the case, you can count on our team to add those finishing touches as part of your project. The hardest part will be deciding on which ones to choose!
